Desley’s experience...

"I am 61 years of age and have exercised and taught a major part of my life through involvement with both classical, modern and contemporary dance. Because of this I have been very particular in my choice of a Personal trainer.
I commenced with Margie over 10 years ago needing someone to spur me along with exercises more suited to my body, which no longer wanted to work quite the way I had enjoyed in the past.
Seven years ago I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer which required a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiation which took 9 months to complete. During this time it was Margie who guided me through both mentally and physically. Occasional shoulder problems which followed  were again addressed in my program.
Three years ago I had a full hip replacement. Once again, Margie was the one in whom I placed complete trust with all of my rehab. I was not satisfied in “just getting to walk correctly” as the doctors suggested.
Margie epitomizes what all trainers should strive for. She is never happy to sit back and rely on back dated knowledge. There is always something more to take on board, and she ensures her knowledge of each client and their special requirements are met to the fullest."

   George’s Experience...

"In the past year Rhett has helped me achieve functionality and strength that my wife tells me I last had before we were married nearly 40 years ago. My cardiovascular fitness has improved dramatically, my BMI is approaching normality and my mental and emotional fitness are those of someone half my age. I do the work; Rhett provides the stimulus and creativity that keeps me going."

Isabelle’s experience...

"I am 37 years of age. I have battled an eating disorder for 20 years. My weight peaked at 115kgs in 1994 and dropped to 29kgs in 2003. I was a chronic alcoholic for 10 years and have been sober for 5 years. The combination of those conditions led to a significant degree of muscle wastage. To add to this, I have been diagnosed with chronic renal failure.
I have been working with Sam for 12 months. I was initially under his care for remedial massage with the goal of undertaking a personal fitness program. However, both physically and mentally, it took a few months before we decided I was stable enough to begin training.
I was encouraged by my treatment team particularly my phychiatrist to start a program of resistance weight training.
I spoke to several personal trainers and was impressed by Sam's holistic approach and his ability to see the bigger picture with regard to training and how increasing my core strength and cardiac capacity along with a specially designed program was integral to improving my overall health and wellbeing..
I presented to Sam with unusual and complicated circumstances. The concept of “weight gain”has been at times frightening and in many ways contradictory to many of my deep seeded psychological beliefs and behaviours. Sam's awareness and sensitivity to these issues has always been incorporated into working with me.
Over the past few months I have noticed not only an increase in strength but significantly a degree in pain reduction, muscle tension and improved sleep patterns.
Sam’s strong emphasis on technique and posture combined with his ability to articulate and communicate these vital components of training have greatly improved my understanding of my body and allowed me to integrate this knowledge in my day to day, and sometimes hour by hour life outside my training.
I look forward to my training and credit Sam’s attentive, personal and highly professional approach. THANKS"
